Our Treasure Coast Chapter of the HLAA would like to give special recognition to the following:
Hearing Loss Association of America, and their great website, from which we glean our purposes, news, some statistics and more.
Hearing Loss Association – Florida – for input, information and encouragement, with a special mention of their President, Debbe Hagner, who has hosted many of our meetings on Zoom since that need began – thank you!
Fort Piece Lions Club – who have co-sponsored many lip reading classes with our Chapter, plus co-sponsored our Hearing Loss Symposiums. You show how working with another non-profit can be a win-win for everyone involved! We have worked now with 5 Lions Presidents and brought a great skill that transcends ordinary communications into greater communications. Our Lip Reading League keeps growing, and we are encouraged!
We have been blessed and want to thank our great hosting sites for our meetings and lip reading classes, which include:
Indian River County Main Library – thanks to our most recent host site – where we held meetings in the History Room before COVID-19 hit and we wound up needing to conduct online meetings (on Zoom, currently)
